Today we’re delighted to announce the beta release of the Spotify Connect Web API – a set of API endpoints for interfacing with Spotify Connect. The endpoints provide control to (with the permission of the user)

Today we’re proud to launch a new Web API endpoint: Get a User’s Recently Played Tracks. With the user’s permission, you can now retrieve up to 50 of their most recently played tracks (excluding tracks played during a private session) as well as whether it was part of an album, playlist or artist listening context.
