Today we’re proud to launch a new Web API endpoint: Upload a Custom Playlist Cover Image. With the playlist owner’s permission, you can now replace the image used to represent a playlist. Full documentation including restrictions, which scopes are necessary, and how to authenticate can be found here.

We have recently changed the URL on which our widgets are served, from embed.spotify.com to open.spotify.com. You don’t need to worry about this, since your widgets will continue working as expected.

We are removing the functionality to embed tracksets using the Spotify Play Button on July 15th 2017.
